Question 1

How does the gift wallet work?

Accepted Answer

If you sell a gift without having connected Stripe, we take the payment and credit your share to a wallet. When it reaches the minimum you ask for it, and we send it to your PayPal address. How money arrives Somebody buys a gift They pay by card on your page, exactly as they would either way. Your share is credited The commission is deducted and the rest appears in your wallet as soon as the payment clears. Every movement is listed At Dashboard › Wallet, each line is a sale you made or a payout you asked for, so the balance is never a number you have to take on trust. Getting it out Add your PayPal email On the wallet page. We cannot send anything without it. Wait for the minimum Shown on the page. It exists because a payout costs a fixed fee to send, and below a certain amount most of it would be eaten. Ask for it The whole balance goes out at once. It leaves your wallet immediately so it cannot be requested twice. We send it By hand, usually within a few days. If it cannot be paid, the money goes straight back into your wallet. MinimumShown on your wallet page Paid toThe PayPal address you set How longA few days, because a person sends it CommissionThe same as a Stripe sale Connect Stripe and none of this appliesSales then settle into your own account on Stripe's schedule: no minimum, no request, and nothing held here. Your wallet balance stays where it is and can still be withdrawn. A wallet balance is money we owe you, not money you holdIt sits with us until it is paid out. If that matters to you — and for larger amounts it should — connect Stripe and it never reaches us at all. Related: commission and payment.

Question 2

How do I add gifts to my bio page?

Accepted Answer

Gifts are set up inside a Gift Shop block on a bio page. Add the block, choose up to three gifts, set a price for each, and publish. Step by step Open your bio page Go to Dashboard › Link-in-bio and open the page you want to sell from. Add the block Choose to add a new block and pick Gift Shop from the widget list. Choose a gift Each block holds up to three gifts. Pick one from the catalogue for each slot. Set your price Decide what that gift costs. The same catalogue item can be a small tip on one page and a premium thank-you on another — it is entirely your call. Add a reward, if you want one Attach a note, a file, a link or an image that unlocks for whoever buys that gift. Save and view your page The block appears with your gifts, ready to accept payments as soon as Stripe has cleared your account. Want more than three gifts?Add a second Gift Shop block. Three per block keeps the page readable on a phone, which is where nearly all of your visitors are. Changing things later Open the block again at any time to change a price, swap a gift for a different one, or replace the reward. Changes apply to future purchases; anything already bought keeps the reward it was sold with. Pricing adviceMost tips sit between a small round number and the price of a coffee. A single expensive gift with a genuinely valuable reward often earns more than several cheap ones.

Question 3

How do I create a Stripe account?

Accepted Answer

You do not need to sign up at Stripe separately. Starting the payout setup inside gomy.bio creates the account for you and walks you through what Stripe needs. Step by step Open Payouts Go to Account menu › Payouts. Start the setup Choose to connect your account. Stripe's own secure form opens inside the page. Enter your details Stripe asks for your name, address, date of birth and the bank account that should receive the money. Confirm your identity Stripe may ask for a photo of an ID document. This is a legal requirement for anyone accepting card payments, not an extra step we added. Wait for the check Stripe usually reviews within minutes, occasionally longer. You can close the page; nothing is lost. Come back when cleared Once Stripe approves you, your Gift Shop blocks start accepting payments automatically. You can stop halfwayStripe saves your progress. If you need to find a document, return to Account menu › Payouts later and carry on where you stopped. Already have a Stripe account? You can connect it during the same flow by signing in with the email it uses, rather than creating a second one. Enter your details only on Stripe's formWe never see or store your bank details, and we will never ask for them in an email or a support ticket. If anyone asks you for them outside Stripe's own form, it is not us.

Question 4

How do I connect my Stripe account to my Gift Shop?

Accepted Answer

Connect once from Account menu › Payouts. Every Gift Shop block on every one of your bio pages then uses that account — there is nothing to connect per page. Step by step Open Payouts Go to Account menu › Payouts. Connect Follow Stripe's form. If you do not have an account yet, this creates one — see creating a Stripe account. Check your status The same screen shows where you stand: not started, pending review, or ready to be paid. Sell Once you are cleared, existing Gift Shop blocks start taking payments. You do not need to rebuild or re-save them. What the statuses mean Not connectedBlocks show, but cannot take money PendingStripe is still reviewing or needs more from you ReadyPayments and payouts are both enabled Stuck on pending?Stripe is usually waiting on one specific document. Reopen the payout screen — Stripe states exactly what is outstanding, and the status updates by itself once satisfied. You can follow your sales at Dashboard › Revenue.

Question 5

What information will Stripe ask for, and is it safe?

Accepted Answer

Stripe asks for the details any regulated payment processor must collect: who you are, where you live, and the bank account to pay. You enter it on Stripe's own form — we never see it. What Stripe asks for Your nameAs it appears on official documents Your addressAnd your date of birth Bank detailsWhere payouts should land Proof of identityOften a photo of an ID document Why so much? Anyone moving money on someone else's behalf is legally required to verify who is receiving it. These rules exist to stop fraud and money laundering, and they apply to every payment processor — the requirement is not specific to us or to Stripe. Who sees what Stripe sees your identity details They are entered directly into Stripe's form, inside their systems. We see none of it Not your bank account, not your ID, not your date of birth. We hold only an account reference and whether you are cleared to be paid. You see your buyers' emails So you can deliver what was bought. Card numbers are never shown to you, or to us. How to spot a fakeWe will never ask for your bank details, card numbers, ID documents or password over email or in a support ticket. Real requests happen only inside Stripe's own form, which you reach from Account menu › Payouts.

Question 6

How much commission does gomy.bio take, and how am I paid?

Accepted Answer

A fixed share of each gift sale is kept as commission and the rest is yours. How it reaches you depends on one thing: whether you have connected a Stripe account. The two ways you get paid With Stripe connected — paid directly The payment settles into your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays it out to your bank on its usual schedule. We never hold it. There is no minimum and nothing to request. Without Stripe — paid from your wallet The payment is taken by us, and your share is credited to your wallet at Dashboard › Wallet. Once the balance reaches the minimum you can ask for it, and we send it to your PayPal address by hand. Connecting Stripe is worth the ten minutesIt removes the minimum, removes the wait for us to process a payout, and the money is never held by anybody but Stripe. The commission is the same either way — connecting does not cost you more or less. What comes out of a sale Your priceWhatever you set for that gift Less the commissionThe same percentage on both routes Card processingOurs, not yours — it comes out of the commission What is leftPaid to your Stripe account, or credited to your wallet Where to see the real figuresEvery sale is itemised at Dashboard › Revenue, and every movement of a wallet balance at Dashboard › Wallet. Those pages, not this article, are the record for your account. Small gifts lose more to feesCard processing has a fixed component, so a very cheap gift gives up a larger share of itself before anyone is paid. Slightly higher prices, or fewer and better gifts, keep more of each sale. Related: how the wallet works and connecting Stripe.

Question 7

When and how do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

Straight into your own Stripe account, on Stripe's payout schedule. We never hold your balance, so there is no minimum to reach here and no withdrawal to request from us. How the money moves A visitor buys a gift They pay by card on your page. The money lands in your Stripe account Immediately, minus the platform commission and Stripe's processing fee. Stripe pays out to your bank On its own schedule, typically every couple of days once your first payout has cleared. Who holds the moneyStripe, never us Minimum payoutNone on our side Payout scheduleSet by Stripe, adjustable in their dashboard Your record of salesDashboard › Revenue The first payout takes longestStripe holds initial funds a little longer for new accounts while checks complete. That is standard for every new seller and settles into the normal rhythm afterwards. Not arriving?Check the payout status in your Stripe account first — it is nearly always an incomplete verification or an unconfirmed bank account, and Stripe will say which.

Question 8

How do exclusive content unlocks work?

Accepted Answer

Attach a reward to any gift and it unlocks the moment someone buys — a thank-you note, a file, an image or a private link that only buyers can reach. Setting one up Open the Gift Shop block On the bio page that sells the gift. Choose the gift Each gift in the block can carry its own reward. Pick what to give A written message, an uploaded file, an image, or a link to something you host elsewhere. Save From then on, every buyer of that gift receives it automatically. What the buyer sees They pay On your page, by card. The reward appears immediately On the thank-you page, as soon as the payment clears. They get a receipt by email Naming the gift, the page they bought from, and the amount. Signed-in buyers keep it It stays in Dashboard › My Unlocks. Guests can still reach theirs from the link they were given. What makes a good rewardSomething a follower cannot get free elsewhere: an unreleased track, a full-resolution photo, a discount code, a personal voice note. The gift is the gesture; the reward is why they choose the bigger one. A gift does not need a rewardPlenty of people sell pure tips. If you attach nothing, the buyer is simply told the gift is a direct thank-you to you, and the purchase still works normally.

Question 9

What is the Gift Shop?

Accepted Answer

The money goes to your own Stripe account, and each gift can unlock something exclusive for whoever bought it. How it fits together You add a Gift Shop block Gifts live inside a block on one of your bio pages, so they sit alongside your links instead of in a separate shop. You pick gifts and set prices Choose from the catalogue — a coffee, a heart, a rocket, a crown — and decide what each one costs. The artwork and name come from the catalogue; the price is yours. A visitor buys one They tap a gift, pay by card, and never leave your page for a separate store. You get paid directly Stripe settles into your own account. We never hold your balance.
