How do I create my first bio page?

Open Dashboard › Link-in-bio, choose Create, give the page a name and an address, and you have a live page. Everything after that is editing. Step by step Open the Link-in-bio section It is in the left menu of your dashboard. On a phone, tap the menu button first. Choose Create The Create button sits at the top right of the dashboard and offers a link-in-bio page, a QR code or a short link. Pick the first. Name the page This is for you, not for visitors — it is how the page is labelled in your dashboard. "My page" is fine. Pick your address The part after the slash is what people will type or tap. Choose carefully, because it is what you will be printing on cards and putting in profiles. See choosing an address. Let the assistant start you off, or begin empty Describing yourself in a sentence gets you a page with blocks already in place, which is usually faster than starting from nothing. You can change or delete every part of it. Add and arrange blocks Each thing on the page is a block. Add them, drag them into the order you want, and edit them in place. Look at it as a visitor would Use Preview, or just open your address in another tab. What looks fine in the editor sometimes reads differently on the page itself. What to put on it first A page with three good blocks beats a page with twelve. Most pages that work have the same shape: who you are, the one thing you most want people to do, and then everything else. How do I choose or change my bio page address?

Your address is the part after the slash — gomy.bio/yourname. It can use letters, numbers, hyphens and underscores, and you can change it later, though every copy of the old one stops working when you do. What is allowed Letters and numbersA–Z, a–z and 0–9 Hyphen and underscorethe-coffee-cart and mike_fitness both work At least three charactersShorter addresses are not accepted Nothing elseNo spaces, dots, slashes or accented characters A small list of words is reserved and cannot be claimed by anyone — things like admin, login, help and support. They are refused because a page at one of those addresses could be mistaken for part of the site itself. The check is on the whole address, so helpwithmath is fine even though help is not. Choosing one worth keeping You will be saying this out loud, printing it, and typing it into profiles for years. Two tests are worth applying before you commit: Say it down a phone If you have to spell it, or explain where the hyphen goes, it will cost you visitors every time you share it. Type it on a phone keyboard Underscores need a keyboard switch on most phones. Hyphens do not. Changing it later You can change your address whenever you like, from the page's settings. The moment you do, the old address stops resolving and becomes available for someone else to claim. If the address is on something physical, change it only if you are prepared to reprint — or point a dynamic QR code at it instead, which can be repointed without reprinting. Every block you add pushes the next one further down, so the question is not what you can put on the page but what earns its place above the fold. If something near the bottom is getting tapped anyway, it deserves to be higher; if something at the top gets nothing, it is taking up the best space on the page. Three things matter more than the rest: Contrast between text and background Pale grey text on white looks elegant on a laptop in a dark room and disappears entirely on a phone in sunlight. Buttons that look tappable A button that is the same colour as the background reads as decoration. If everything is emphasised, nothing is. One accent colour, not five Pick a colour for the thing you most want tapped, and let the rest be quiet. Check it in both light and darkPhones switch themselves to dark mode in the evening. A colour scheme that only works on a white background will spend half its life looking wrong. Copy your address into the link slot of every profile you have, and generate a QR code for anywhere physical. The page itself never needs to change again. Your email signature One line, under your name. It costs nothing and works on every message you send. Anywhere physical A QR code turns the address into something a camera can read — menus, packaging, posters, a card in the window. In conversation This is why a short, sayable address is worth the effort of choosing one. Turning it into a QR code Create a dynamic QR code pointing at your page rather than a static one. Getting verifiedA verified badge tells visitors the page really is you, which matters as soon as anyone has a reason to impersonate you. It is at Account menu › Get Verified. Keeping it worth visiting The advantage of a bio page is that the address never changes while the contents can. Use it: move your newest thing to the top when you release it, and take down blocks that have stopped earning their place. How do I see how my bio page is doing?

Your dashboard shows visits to the page and taps on each block, along with where visitors came from and what they were using. The useful number is not the visit count — it is which blocks people actually tap. What is recorded ViewsHow many times the page was opened Taps per blockWhich things on the page people actually used ReferrersWhich platform or site sent them Country and deviceWhere they were and what they were holding Reading it properly A view count on its own tells you how well you are promoting the page, not how well the page is working. The number that tells you about the page is the ratio between views and taps. Plenty of views, few taps People are arriving and leaving. Usually the page asks for too much, or the thing you want tapped is too far down, or it is not obvious what it is for. Few views, high taps The page works. The problem is upstream — the link is not in enough places, or the profiles pointing at it are not getting traffic. One block taking everything Worth knowing. Consider whether the others are earning their space, or whether they are just pushing the winner further down. How far back it goesThe free plan keeps 30 days of statistics; paid plans keep a year. Older data is removed rather than hidden, so export anything you want to keep long term. The free plan includes three bio pages. Paid plans raise that considerably. Each page has its own address, its own design and its own statistics. Why you might want more than one One page is right for most people. A second becomes useful when you are genuinely two audiences apart — not when you simply have a lot of links. Deleting a page frees the slot immediately — and releases its address for someone else, so delete a page only when you are finished with the address too.
